With Great Vocals and a True Country Sound, Chris Young Is a Must-See This Saturday Night

Love country music? You are in luck! This Saturday, country music artist Chris Young will bring his new Raised on Country Tour to Dallas. He’ll be performing live at the Dos Equis Pavilion on July 20th. Be sure to check it out!

Chris Young is a country music singer and songwriter who was first discovered in a 2006 season of Nashville Star, a singing competition which aired on the USA Network. After his win, he was signed to RCA Records Nashville, releasing his self-titled debut album that same year. It produced two singles on Hot Country Songs – "Drinkin' Me Lonely" and "You're Gonna Love Me."

His second album, The Man I Want to Be, was released on September 1, 2009. It included the singles "Voices," "Gettin' You Home (The Black Dress Song)," and the title track, all of which shot to Number 1. This success followed with several more albums and chart-topping country hits, including “Tomorrow,” “Aw Naw,” and “I’m Comin’ Over.”

In 2017, Young was honored with one of the crowning achievements in country music: becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry. He was invited into membership by country legend Vince Gill and was officially inducted by Brad Paisley.

When he’s not recording new music or performing live, Young supports a number of noteworthy organizations, including children’s music charity Little Kids Rock, military newspaper Stars For Stripes, and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
