Wings Over Dallas Returns with an Historic Airshow

Keep your eyes on the sky for the Commemorative Air Force’s presentation of the Wings Over Dallas WWII Airshow! This incredible display of historic, high-flying action returns for another year of family-friendly fun. More than 80 WWII-era aircraft are set to participate in the airshow, with aerial activities, personal appearances from numerous WWII veterans, living history reenactment groups, and military vehicles on display for all to enjoy.

Plans for this year’s show include a 75th anniversary commemoration of the Doolittle Raid, the heroic U.S. counterattack on Japan after Pearl Harbor. Attendants can watch a flying reenactment of the Raid that features eight B-25 bombers, spectacular pyrotechnics, sound effects, and narration of the historic event that makes for an awe-inspiring history lesson. The guest of honor will be Texas native Dick Cole, who at age 101 is the last surviving Doolittle Raider. Don’t miss this educational and exciting show!
